Hey everyone.

After an extended lull in creating new designs, we're back at it and will soon have a new batch of goddies for you all to vote on... and maybe a new contest in cooperation with a big time publisher.... more on that later.

At any rate. I've come up with an idea for a BANG! shirt and it's gone a couple different directions...
I am definately leaning towards one design, but wonder if it's a bit too obscure. So... take a look and tell me which one you all prefer.

Outlaw

Sherrif

Missed!

Seems little obscure for me with all three of them, possibly a bang logo on other side of shirt?

The "mancato" shirt is counterintuitive. With the number of bullets that shirt has caught, the wearer hasn't been doing much to hamper the opponent's aim.

The "sheriff" shirt reminds me of that song "I shot the sheriff", which may or may not be a good thing.

Outlaw shirt appeals to me in a Browncoat sort-of way.

I agree, but Chad and I have learned that some of these shirts will cross the gap and sell outside the geek, and in general, I think that a shirt that said BANG! would be bad. I know you wouldn't be allowed to wear it to school... Hech these three might not fit that bill... come to think of it.

With that in mind I would have to go with the Sheriff as the best then.

Anything with bullet holes runs the risk of being prohibited in schools... which automatically makes it cool.

I prefer the Outlaw shirt, as it's still definitely BANG! for any gamegeek, yet has a lot of crossover appeal. The Sherrif shirt is cool, but honestly if I saw someone wearing that shirt on the street, I wouldn't think it was associated with the game... and I like Bang.

Mancato is just too obscure for any crossover appeal, and, as mentioned above, it's counterintuitive.

I like the Outlaw one best as well. If kids wore them, at least the idea is that the outlaws are the bad guys and get shot at rather than the Sheriff. My $0.02.

Also, rotate your bullet hole a few varying degrees for each hole so it doesn't look so rubber stamped.

+1 for Outlaw.

I like the Sheriff one, but I think there's a lot of opportunity for trouble to arise about that shirt (shooting law enforcement tends to be frowned upon). Another option is maybe have a wanted poster with one of the more well-known outlaws in the game?

The Macato one is just too obscure.

Is it possible to do the line of bullets on one arm, like on the side of the card? That might help it be identifiable.

Well, I've never played Bang, so....there's that. The Outlaw and Sheriff are both cool and I think could crossover. Outlaw just because, and the Sheriff because of "I Shot the Sheriff".

Personally, I like the Outlaw the best.

none of those are "school-friendly"
In fact, each could be used for "gang colors"
So bring out the bang! logo my friend.

The Outlaw is the best of the three, but too generic for me. Would prefer something with the Renegade face, the barrel, the beer, the Volcanic, the miss, the bang, something more readily identifiable with Bang!

I'd go for the outlaw, but remove the word “outlaw” and just leave the silhouette and bullet holes. THe imagery is stronger and more interesting if you don't spell it out, IMO.

I know one image from Bang! that you could use that would guarantee you at least one sale!

I vote for the "MANCATO!" shirt. I kind of like the irony of the bullet holes on this specific shirt.

Ha! if only we could do one off's.

Thanks for everyone's input. More than likely we'll put the outlaw shirt up in the voting. (Look for that to happen the first week of May... we hope)

I myself am partial to the silliness (and game-representative) Mancato! shirt, so I'm glad we put this out there.

Chad and I have talked at length about the possibility of doing a P-list for designs that are not 'slam dunks'
I think our problem would be the amount of time some of the orders would take to reach our minimum print runs (which is sadly upwards of 30, and the smaller the run, the more expensive the shirt....) If anyone thinks this is feasible let us know. I would love to do more specific designs, and that may offer us the chance to do it.

Thanks again! Look for the voting to happen soon, and heck... here's a little sneak non-preview of what you might find...

Agricola
Memoir 44
Puerto Rico (I swear... no more Mariachi's!)
Carcassone
Wings of war
and maybe even a Cat grinder.... and much more.

Im even considering designing a Gary Gygax memorial shirt... though Im not sure about it... I definately don't want to capitalize on his death... just offer people the chance to show their respect for him.

I've also thought about this, but honestly i would probably run this by the Game publisher, since I think the strongest design would be to simply have the exact picture of the Renegade center (and not too large) on the front.

That... or a BANG! style illustration of Lorenzo Lamas!

Definitely Outlaw, especially if you think you might sell the shirt outside the board gaming community. In fact, you might consider just Outlaw without the bullet holes.
