1. No, the contents in the space are not annulled. Unrest just stops the modifiers from projecting into ADJACENT spaces.
2. It is counted as ONE stack.

If a space containing a stack, school or reformer is in unrest, does the stack, school or reformer not provide dice to attempts in adjacent spaces? Or is it just the influence of the space itself that's nullified?

Greg: Third bullet on Page 17 reads:
"The contents of this space are ignored entirely when conducting
Reformation and Counter Reformation attempts in an adjacent
space."
"Contents" includes everything. Jesuits, units, reformers, etc.
