What are your highest Agricola scores? I have the record at my group with 47 VPs (and that was with the family version!).
:Edit: Ouch! I just figured out that I miscalculated the above score in my game and only scored 37 VPs!
Fortunately, I still won.
In that case, my highest score is 40 VPs (with family version).

It's strongly dependant on number of players.
Solo 72 2p 61
I don't remember my scores for more than 2p, but they are usually in the 40's or 50's.

Highest I'm getting is 37vp (2p family game)
edit: got 40 last time somehow. I think that it's because it's the first time I tried building stables outside of fences. With eight wood on turn 2 or 3, made a 2 square pasture and a separate stable. Give many options for getting animals.

My best game was 54 points in a 5-player game with the "I" deck. I've scored slightly higher with less players, but doing it in a 5-player game was pretty sweet.

I just got 70 VPs in the last game I played, which was a 3P game. Before that 54 was my highest score, also 3P. Both with the E deck.

How are you all getting scores in the 50's and up? Granted, I've only played 3 times, 1 was 5 players, and the other 2 were 2 playes, and the last one my wife gave up after turn 11 because she was so far behind, but so far my two final scores have been 17 (last place in the 5 player game), and 28 (good enough to beat my wife by 2 points).
Each time I've always had 5-7 unused spaces, 0 cubes of 2 animal types, either 0 grain or 0 vegetables...how can you get that many points in 14 rounds. It just doesn't seem possible at all. There's just not enough time to do everything that you need to do to get to that high of a tota.

Unused spaces is a problem solved easily by enclosing a large area with fences. Remember you can hold one animal in your house. You should have at least one pasture (for the reason stated above). It's usually not hard to have 2, or an unfenced stable, so you should have room to store three types of animals. Picking up at least one of each is a trivial matter. Same with grain and veggies. Picking one up is a simple task (and is effectively worth two points).
These are just a few examples of good scoring opportunities you are likely to miss. Following just the tips I mention above, you should be able to manage 1 point in each category and no penalty for unused spaces. This gives you a minimum of 13 and this can easily be expanded by increasing your amounts in certain categories (you should be able to get either a lot of grain or a lot of veggies easily, and you will probably have a lot of fields. You'll also have a big pasture, so plenty of room for lots of one animal.) and pick up more points from extra family members (always a good idea), home renovations, and improvements.
You shouldn't have any trouble at all making it to the 20s. 30s is certainly within reach. Once you get a few of these basic strategies down, you'll find even more scoring opportunities.

61 (4 player E-deck), just yesterday.
The scores were 61-48-45-33, and as I recall I had a few very nice synergies and a couple all-star cards. Gardener + Lettuce Patch, Conservator + Chief + 5-room house, Cook, and Guildmaster + Plane + Joinery major improvement. Thanks to the Cook and Lettuce Patch I had 5 family members by about Round 9, with no serious food issues. Thanks to all the extra actions I was able to renovate to stone on Round 13, which meant I could use the rest of that round plus Round 14 to patch up any deficiencies (like taking my first sheep of the game, which happened on the last turn). I ended up with only one negative, a -1 for an unused field space, and a few threes and fours to go with the 30 for a full family, 5 rooms of stone, and the Chief.
Also someone played, I think the name is Private Forester, the one which sets out the 2-wood card from the 3p game as an additional action, but anyone but the forester has to pay 2 food to use it. That increased the wood supply and generally inflated scores.
That was only the second time out of about 30 games I'd even cracked 50, and to be honest I don't even break 40 as often as I'd like. Usually I'm in the mid- to high 30s.

The good news: I recently scored 44 VPs, which is the current high in my gaming circles!

The bad news: I was tied with another player. We both hold the record.

I played 4 player today and the final was 17, 19, 21 and my score of 61! I was suprised when they added it up. I made an effort to watch my card and do all I could to avoid any negative points at all. I had some help with the K deck, here is a summary of what was done as far as I remember it from my side.
Round 1: First player chose plow a field (he is a newbie) and I chose profession for free, don't remember what I played but it was good
I do remember that I had one card from the K deck that let me add a family member at at the cost of 4 food, it was brutal on my food efforts but I got that before the first harvest and was always at least 1-2 family members up the rest of the game. I also played a jester profession early that allowed me to play on the entertainment for food card and then allow the jester to jump to the take a free grain or plow a field if either of those squares were open. that helped. I also had another card that was a free clay room upgrade as a minor improvement that I used to add a room after upgrading my hut around the end of the second harvest.
Basically the strategy I employ is to work as hard as I can to add family members as fast as I can. Usually others are farming or collecting wood to make enclosures for animals while I am collecting for room additions and scrounging for food. I end up with more guys and it has a snow ball effect at the end of the game, with 5 turns each round for me while 2 of the 3 other guys only ever had 2 guys on the board the entire game.
Anyway, I also had a card that allowed me to match any other one players fields plowed as a minor improvement I beleive, it gave me 3 fields and I had been taking grain with my jester, so I sewed those on the last possible move before a harvest and raked it in. I also got a bunch of animals but never managed to get the stone upgrade. I had 5 rooms by the end.
As I recall I had every square filled and 2-4 points on most everything, including a 3 point bonus for most rooms that was related to one of my cards.
The goat card gave me a free food at harvest each year too, that was nice!
Anyway, that was my highest score ever by about 15 points, so either I was lucky or just very good
I have played about 6 times and won every time... strange since the guys I play with are the more serious gamers. Now they say we have to play Life Boats or Gloom or something with some voting in it next like Ca$h 'n Gun$ so they can slaughter me and have their revenge, LOL!

I can't help but think that, when there is that big of a score disparity, that the other players were doing something wrong.

Just racked up a fairly decent score of 57 in a solo player game using the E deck, bulk of my scoring came from 5 family members staying 5 stone rooms.

My highest differentials in score have been when I am playing against newer players and they just let me run away with the game. If I am playing against good, experienced players it becomes much, much tighter. Maximum scores in the upper fourties low fifties, and usually a very small point differential between players.
I've had some games where the point difference between first, second, third, and fourth was one for each place.
The biggest differential I have had is 15 points, but both of my opponents made pretty key mistakes that let me push things in my favor. I also had the advantage of multiple Minor Improvements that gave me heaps of bonus food. (This was with the I deck.)
