Why is one of the Brits in the painting using a solid green German Panzershreck rocket launcher? :what: I'll even buy the fact that he grabbed it off of a dead German but GREEN?!!?!?!

On a serious note, hooray for the Brits being added :D. All the best, Jonathan

It faded that color in the desert sunlight? Or the desert "humidity" was so strong that it grew moss? :D

BTW, what Brummbar references is a Vadnais Heights, MN, online retailer (just down the road from me) who broke the news with their pre-order page. This expansion looks very nice and exactly what everyone has been craving for so long! Finally an official use for the desert side of the winter/desert board!

One true desert scenario doesn't compare to an entire expansion devoted to the desert war. I'm very happy to have more "official" things to do on the drier side of the board! :)

That doesn't look like a PIAT in the photo - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PIAT. I would have said PanzerShrek as well. PIATs didn't have backblast shields, because they didn't need them! They used a spring to propel the bomb.

The photo of the supposed Brit w/the supposed PIAT is from the Wikipedia Panzerschreck page. It's caption says the photo is of a Canadian w/a captured Panzerschreck. :D

You can tell he's Canadian because his uniform cloth has a slight greenish tint, unlike the more brown British one. :)

You are, of course missing the main point that the Panzershrek wasn't invented until late 1943, by which time the desert war was all but over...

Looks like Italy to me - fairly few trees in the desert...

Very few Canadians in the desert, as well (only some individual officers, loaned to British units).

Just dont forget this is the ALL of the Mediterranean Theatre which is why I didnt judge the dates etc, because the painting could be from Italy etc. But yes otherwise your point is very valid!

According to the Urban Collector pre-order webpage:

Quote:
Availibility: Pre-Order: Expected to ship by 4th Quarter 2008

And it's in the database now: Memoir '44 - Mediterranean Theater

Uhhhm, the British also fought in Asia, Western Europe, Italy etc. I therefore don't think ALL the scenarios will be set in the desert...At the very least future scenarios should also include the Brits in different theatres of war!
