Have you seen that Days of Wonder is about to release a new expansion to TtR ?
Details and rules here
So we first had the US map, then Europe, Germany, Switzerland and Nordic Countries, then the card game and now the dice game ? What will happen next ?
Ticket to Ride: Cards & dices (you draw cards every other turn, otherwise you throw dices) Ticket to Ride: California (with the California map... they could launch like 51 different games on this line...) Ticket to Ride: subway (where you build the subway of a big city) Ticket to Ride: the live game (well... I cannot see how this would work)
Am I the only to find that DoW is really milking the cow with the TtR licence ?
Note: I submitted a new game entry for this expansion.

I think next up we will see Ticket to Ride: Catan, which will be expanded by the Ticket to Ride: Catan Islands (lots of ferries), possibly some Ticket to Ride: Train Robbers. Of course this will launch the expansion of "Trains" for The Settlers of Catan.

There is already a game like this: On The Underground. (Great game, too, and not just a TtR clone!)

With an MSRP of 20$ / 18€ this almost beats the value for money of BattleLore: For Troll and Country.

jeRm! wrote: I think next up we will see Ticket to Ride: Catan I have long said (and even mentioned to Alan Moon) that a Ticket to Ride: Carcassonne would work. Imagine a Carc-type tile laying game, except that instead of the roads, you have track; cities now have resources that they want delivered; and instead of the cloisters, you have production facilities where the resources are created. You would get points for claiming completed areas and could also deliver goods from the matching facilities to cities. There would probably be more Carc than TtR to it, but if Moon and Wrede could get together on it, I bet it would sell a bunch!

For the jackpot:
Ticket To Ride: Settlers Of Carcassonne.

It seems like Alan R Moon is gonna pull a Klaus Teuber and truly "milk" the TtR series the way Teuber did (or is still doing AFAIK) with the Catan series. Altho I'm told Teuber wanted ALL of that to be one grand, gigantic game, that was later split up instead. But eh.... from all the games I've seen so far, they're not all too bad nor desperate.
I'm surprised there's still no TtR: Dice Game (contrast to the news reel, a TtR game that STILL uses cards, but also has dice thrown in, the Dice Game would be a purely dice mechanism).
What I'd like to see:
Ticke To Ride: World In this game, players get to draw 5 train cards per turn
Let's see him top something like that OK, we could also see in the works proceeding that... Ticket To Ride: Asia, Ticket To Ride: North Korea, Ticket To Ride: South Korea, Ticket To Ride Antartica, Ticket To Ride: Developing Countries, Ticket To Ride: Wild West
