Did anyone else find it unusual how hard the players were sliding (nearly throwing) the pieces? If I recall, you are penalized if your pieces topple over, a rule that seemed to encourage more delicate sliding.
best video production of yours yet, need to keep that camera from bouncing so much. great stuff though.
Totally agree on the video production and shots of people playing the game. This is a great example of why a video review works.
This is a game I've seen at all the big box stores and the Sorry! name caused me not to look at it to seriously. However after seeing this review I think kids would have a lot of fun with it. After this they could move into Crokinole or PitchCar.

Absolutely - I don't get why they were maniacally flying their pieces down the track - the rules say you have to remove any piece that's on its side (no other penalty). They weren't playing by that rule. And sometimes, they didn't even wait for the previous player's piece to come to a rest before hyperactively flinging their pawn amomgst the jumble in the center.
Tom - you mentioned in the review if you "wonder if (the way the pieces tip over) is part of the design" - I would say absolutely so! You are only supposed to slide them a certain speed - the game is not about who can slide their pieces the hardest, bashing everyone else's around and breaking up the center.
I'd recommend playing with the Instant Home board - it will show that aiming will dominate over bashing (since whoever slides into the center instantly scores a Home).
I'm glad you're bringing omre attention to the gameplay, and how it is much more fun than people would suggest from the Sorry name. Just ignore the name, pick it up on a good sale ($10.49 reecently on Amazon) and you've got a game with a ton of entertainment for the dollar.
If you want to focus on a name associated with the game - think "Craig Van Ness". He's the (already) legendary designer behind a LOT of great games (Star Wars Queen's Gambit, Epic Duels, Clash of the Lightsabers, Heroscape, Battleball, Buffy tVS, Risk:2210, and more.
I just picked this up at a Target for 15 bucks. Cheap, quick, and something my wife will play. Perfect game to own.
As far as the comparison to crokinole (or pitchcar for that matter), I like Sliders better. The whole "finger flicking" is difficult for me, I lke the pushing motion you can do in this game.
An excellent game, I move that it should be used to replace the ENTIRE American court system... If the accused persons pawns get knocked out of play "SORRY" its the gas chamber for them! lol
As long as the game is enlarged so that the accused is encased in a slider (head exposed out the top), and the witnesses team up to fling other sliders down the track at him/her.
It might even be a reality TV show to replace "Judge Judy" and the endless Judge Judy-clones. Let people at home place wagers on line, with the state skimming 50% of the take to go toward the victim.
