There is a Stage II leadership card for Jim Raynor that gives a "free" transport or worker on each build order. Does this free unit come even if there's no base on the planet that's executing the command? If so, whee! That's a fast way to blitz across multiple planets in a few orders.

Ofcourse! Do note though that the transport will die if it is left without a base.

still don't forget that you can't place orders on planets where you don't have any friendly units or bases on an adjancent planet. No blitzing through bigtime, unfortunately-

Who says you need orders to move into a planet? You can still end up placing an army up to two planets away from a friendly unit using the Weasely Retrograde (TM).

oh, i know that move knew it before, actually, problem is, it's not a mobilize, so no attacks, which i'd prefer to do...that is, move into a undefended base and trash it. other than that, yep, it's nice

Can you rephrase that. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking.

What do you mean by an "active planet"?

with raynors card we get a free transport or worker when we execute a build order on a planet (i may have the wording wrong right now, but iirc they refer to this planet as the active planet now), i just assumed that the free transport would have to be placed as if we were building it with the build order. not like when we get a free transport via an event card. if we can place those transports from raynors leadershipcard anywhere that would be sweeet!

I think with Raynor's, you have to place it on the "active planet". (I was confused because I was still thinking in "event card" context).

I'd have to look at the card to be sure.

Surely NO! It would be a cheat
