I seriously haven’t played this game since I was probably ten! So as a joke I pulled this out when my gaming group came over. Realize, I can’t remember a thing about this game. I just remember it involves monster trucks and crushing cars. We did this to preface our epic game of Doom… so find that as humorous as you can.

We setup and re-read the rules. They’re ridiculously easy to learn, especially for adults. Naturally this is designed for children to play, so the rules can’t be that complicated. As far as kids games go this is probably really fun, it was certainly more fun than we were thinking it would be. It was actually fun enough for us to play through it twice before we started Doom. Granted a single game of Bigfoot takes about twenty minutes or less…

The game mechanics are actually pretty well done considering how this game works. We played a three player game so the first player to crush four cars wins, with the stipulation that you have to crush two cars from each opposing player at least. Naturally you can’t crush your own cars. With being able to move either your car or monster truck there is a decent degree of strategy within this game. You can also push the other characters trucks off the map forcing them to lose a turn, if you’re feeling vindictive. Once this started happening our competition got a lot more heated.

In the end, for picking this game out for some good childish fun, we found this to be much better than expected. I was expecting it to be so lame that the group wouldn’t ever want to play that again. The fact we ran through it twice was shocking, so I guess it’s better than expected. Granted I give this a five overall, because when compared to heavier games I play as an adult, I find them much more fulfilling. However, for kids, this game really wouldn’t be too bad. I might actually hang onto this game in case I have kids in the future!
