Quote: New expansions for FITS from Bezier Games!
MOTS, LOTS and BOTS: three new expansions for FITS will be available in May.
FITS Expansion #1: MOTS: More Of The Same features four new boards with similar mechanics and goals to the set that comes with the original box, extending gameplay.
FITS Expansion #2: LOTS: Letters On The Spaces take the FITS game in an entirely new direction, with four different letter and word-based games.
Fits Expansion #3: BOTS: Big Obnoxious Terrible Spaces is the mean nasty version of FITS that Ravensburger was too scared to ship. Hear your opponents wail in misery even as you struggle to hold back a torrent of tears every time you place a piece.
All three expansions are free, will be available from the Bezier Games website for download and printing in May, and match the existing boards exactly in terms of color, style and layout. All 12 of the boards (numbered 5-16) include rules printed directly on each board, to make scoring and playing even easier than with the original boards.

Are we still on target for May?
(Look at me...I don't even get my hands on the base game for 2 more days and already I'm drooling for expansions)

I have a reply:

That's all I know.

I actually bought the game because of the promise of the Bezier expansions by Ted. If Ravensburger is afraid of lost sales of "something" due to these expansions, they should balance them against the gained sales, like mine. (grumble).

Um... it's an unofficial free expansion. Chill down a bit. Sometimes the people who make these sorts of contributions to the hobby have other things going on, like family members taking ill or crunch times at their paying jobs.

Perhaps my use of bold exaggerated my mood. I'm chill. My understanding is that the holdup isn't due to Ted not having time, but that they're waiting for Ravensburger to say it's okay. I'm just hoping in spite of the >1 month delay (and counting), that Ravensburger realizes that these expansions are likely to increase sales of FITS more than risk revenue (of expansions of their own?).

These are not the final versions (they will be released pending approval from Ravensburger). Please provide any feedback directly to me via BGG geekmail. Thank you!

These look awesome. I can't wait to try them.
They won't print on my printer. Whenever I try to print, just blank pages come out of my printer. Am I doing something wrong? After bringing them up, I select file -> print. Or was this done on purpose until Ravensburger gives final approval?
Can't really do any play testing until I can print them.
I wonder what the chances are that Ravensburger will really approve this at all. I have my doubts.

Mine printed just fine.
Of course, it's then quite time-consuming to cut 'em all out.

Very nice! It would be nice to make up some stickers for the original 4 sets with the rules like you have them shown. That would be very cool!

So, I printed them on 8.5" x 11" paper and haven't cut them out yet. When I compare their size to the original boards with the game, these look a bit shorter. I don't think it's going to work. Did I do something wrong?

Hmm. Unless there's something funny with your printer settings, you should be fine. Mine were printed on standard Letter size pages too, and they fit the plastic bases perfectly.
Probably best to try one, see if it fits, and then cut the rest out after you know it won't be wasted effort.

Make sure when you're printing, that you set the Page Scaling to "none"

Sanders wrote: Make sure when you're printing, that you set the Page Scaling to "none" This must be the problem for me. I'm not going to print them all again, but I cut out the MOTS expansion just a bit wider than the dotted line and it's working well. It must have just scaled down a little to cause between an 1/8 inch and 1/4 inch difference. The dots still line up okay with the pieces though so I'm not starting over. I'm satisfied and it looks good!

they're layered, so, for example, when the program i open it with opens them, it has to flatten it first. your program probably isn't flattening it for some reason, so i'd recommend just trying a different program.
