Hello,
I'm from Belgium and have a basic card game of Catan. The backsides of my card are red with with the logo of a sun.
Since they do not sell some of expansion packs here anymore, I bought all six of 'm in one box on ebay from the States.
They arrived yesterday but the cards have a greyish background so unfortunately you can see the difference in the deck.
Why is this? Does the basic game in the States also have this grey backside?
I want to look for a basic game in the same style off course.
I have a pic I can mail for anyone who wants to help. I can't seem to upload pic's here?!
Furthermore, over here they sell a 10th anniversary tin with a 7th exapnsion called 'artist & benefactors'. What color would these have? I don't seem to find an english version of this edition on ebay. Is it not sold there?

It really depends who the publisher is. Kosmos has the rose backgrounds, and I think 999 Games too. Mayfair changed the game art (I really don't know why they did that) with different card backs and also resource symbols.
The seventh expansion isn't available from Mayfair yet, but it should be released this summer.
You should be able to upload images to your gallery.

okay, I was able to upload 'm to the gallery.
hopefully this summer Mayfair will release the 7th expansion, perhaps combined with the basic version like it is sold here.
do you know if I were to buy the basic version now from mayfair, would it have the same background as the ones from the expansion pack?
or do you know if 999 games will perhaps release the 7th expansion seperately?

As far as I know there is no information yet about how Mayfair will release the 7th expansion.
All the Mayfair cards should have the same card backs, it would be very ridiculous otherwise.
