You're walking down the street one day when, out of nowhere, Donald X. Vaccarino jumps out. He's wearing an Armani suit with all of its pockets stuffed with hundred dollar bills. He's carrying with him a copy of Dominion and a golden scepter. "Do you want to try the game that made me an international superstar and millions of dollars?" he asks.

A) I'm always looking for a good game. Go to #1.
B) I'm frightened, but Intrigued Go to #1.
C) I have an irrational hatred of card games that don't have a board. No matter how great or innovative a game is, I don't want to play it if there isn't a board. Go to #2.

#1 "Do you like a lot of diversity in your games, or do you like to play the same game over and over until you master it?"
A) I've never played a game more than twice before wanting to move on to the next game. In the Cult of the New, I am the charismatic high priest. Go to #3.
B) I enjoy a healthy dose of diversity, but don't mind replaying games. Go to #4.
C) I desire to play one game over and over. I haven't voluntarily played a new game since 1985. Go to #2.

#2 As much as it pains me, this game might not be for you. Yes, a game I think almost anyone in this hobby could like isn't for you. You may want to stop and reevaluate your life and try and figure out where you went wrong. Abandon hope now.

#3 "Do you mind shuffling cards?"
A) I love shuffling cards. The way they slide through my fingers, their gentle resistance during a riffle shuffle, the glide of the gloss across the table... What did you ask again? Go to #5.
B) Um, it's fine, I guess. Go to #4.
C) I hate shuffling so much that I bought one of those automatic card shufflers that murders decks of cards. Go to #2.

#4 "How long do you like your games to be?"
A) If it isn't at least 3 hours, why bother? I ONLY enjoy games that are long. Go to #2.
B) I enjoy games that are short to intermediate in length. Go to #6.

#5 Don't finish reading this paragraph before you place an order for this incredibly innovative game. Have you bought it yet? Why not, for its excellent replayability and mix of strategy and tactics is excellent? How about now? You aren't even listening to me anymore, or you? There's not a lot of paragraph left, so order it now. Please. Last chance! Paragraph over...

#6 "Is 30-45 bucks too much to play for a fantastic game?"
A) There are only several hundred beautifully illustrated cards in that box! Such a ripoff for an incredibly fun game. I refuse to pay more than ten bucks on any card game. Go to #2.
B) I love games, but that's too much money without playing it first. Go to #7.
C) A game with tremendous replay value is definitely worth that. Go to #5.
D) It's worth it, but I have some friends that already own it. Go to #7.

#7 Before you buy it, give it a try first. It's an awesome game, and you'll find out soon enough. If you have a gamer buddy that always brings his copy, you may not need to buy your own. I suspect, however, that once the addiction hits you you'll want you own copy.

Well Ive know about Dominion for ages but never felt like buying it.... until I found a UK supplier with FITS in stock and well D won the SdY the same day, an offer of a discount if over £50 ordered... so my resolution crumbled. Arrival tomorrow hopefully.

I'm a number five. Sadly there are some number 2's in my group.

#7...but still intrigued since nobody around here have an idea of this game. Magic the Gathering is what you always hear.

Ahaha, I love choose your own adventure stories. Very novel idea for a review.

I got #5. Something about this game stops it from having massive appeal for me, though I'm not sure what it is. I love card games because as soon as I saw San Juan I knew I must go order it immediately, I enjoy Munchkin and most other (non-collectible) card games I have ever played.
