I've searched and rather than wade through 90 odd pages to find out if anyone has asked this question, has anyone seen him?
Reason I ask is because of the designer credits from http://www.spotlightongames.com/list/sdj.html came as a bit of a shock.
Next I'll be told Michael Tummelhofer doesn't exist....

I love it! I was fooled until now.

I hope I'm real. I'd hate to think of Valerie and Dale eating all of my Lindt bars, or having threesomes with my wife.

Okay I put up a description of myself to help clarify things for people.

Jay and the developers have been very consistent in their insistence that Donald is a real person and not just a sock puppet account on BGG. You would think they would've slipped up by now.
On the other hand, the longer we go without actual evidence of his existence, and the more stories we get like, "he missed his flight to Berlin for the SdJ presentation," the more I'm beginning to think that when a picture of Donald does finally turn up, it'll just be Dale in a funny hat.

With exeption of last year (where Reiner Knizia supposedly were delayed), the winner is naturally present at the ceremony.

I would do all the things I have ever dreamed of doing. I would love to become a professional whistler.I'm pretty amazing at it now, but I wanna get, like, even better. Make my living out of it.

I remember the day Valerie and Dale sat me down. "Nobody's going to buy a game with your name attached to it, you're going to have to make one up."
I do wish the royalty checks would have the right name on them. . .

I have it on good authority that the real author of Dominion was, in fact, Francis Bacon.

Yup. So did Reiner. But he at least turned up later to pick up his award and have his photo taken:

However:
1) As I recall, Reiner's flight was delayed, so he just got there late. Missing a flight is much more problematic, especially from the U.S. 2) Reiner is a professional designer. Donald (if he exists) presumably still has a day job.

I met Donald two years ago at Origins and playtested three of his designs. A very nice man who had some interesting designs to show. I'm glad that he was able to win the SdJ for Dominion, as it is innovative in an industry that's proving more and more difficult to be so, as well as fun.
