Gamers North of Manchester England (GNOME) are yet holding another of our famous all-dayers on Sunday 13th September at the Doffcocker Inn, Bolton, BL1 5QE.
Those of you who have been before will recognise the format. We have the large upstairs room to ourselves from 12 Noon to 11PM (the pub opening hours), and the smaller overflow room if we need it. GNOMES should be able to get access from 10AM to set up.
Everyone is welcome of course, including kids (so long as they are gamers and not run-around-and-knock-things-over-ers). Bring your own games or come and play ours.
The pub serves food 12-5:30, and there are shops and takeaways nearby.
Entry will be £2 (£1 for under 16s) which again includes a free hotpot supper at 6:00PM. Is there just no end to our generosity?
Please post below if you are interested in coming. Let us know if there is anything special you will be bringing or would like to play. I will mail invites to local clubs and people who came (or expressed an interest) last time, but you are welcome to come along whether I have contacted you or not.
If you have never been, you can get a feel for what the day will be like by checking out the list from last time and the time before.
Hope to see you there.
Chris

(those lovely people at Shire Games) are not only attending on the 13th but are also planning to enhance the gaming experience for the rest of us.
As well as their usual offer to bring game orders up in person (saving P&P for anyone attending on the day), they have generously volunteered to donate a prize. I don't think they have decided exactly what the prize will be just yet, but I recently bought a copy of the game they donated last time, Pyramid, and it is smashing.
How do you win? We Gnomes like to have a record of the games played on the day so we will make a stack of slips available to record the results of your games. Please fill these in and post them in the box provided.
Some time mid-evening (around 8PM) we will draw a slip from the box at random and the lucky winner of game drawn will receive the prize.
I would like to thank Nick and Sue for their generous offer. They can be contacted through the Shire Games website or through their accounts here if you have a game order you wish to discuss.

We'll bring a couple of prizes. Haven't decided what yet

If you're thinking of ordering anything from the shop, we will of course hand-deliver orders of any size to the pub on the day.
However ... check this thread from 1st September, and we'll add a discount code you can use for the website, exclusively for those coming to the Bolton Games Day.

I'd love to have a go at playing Battlestar Galactica.
If anyone could bring a copy along and show me how to play that would be great. Simon (Rhox) would be interested too.
I've read some good reviews of the game, but I'd like to give it a try before shelling out my hard earned pennies!
Cheers
