It seems to work if I try the takeover first, but fails if I settle RC first. Yes, you should be able to settle RC then takeover as your Logistics settle. Assuming no PEBKAC, it's a bug.

Timing bug report:
In RvI, an Ancient Race player gets to see opponent homeworlds before discarding the 3rd card. This similarly applies to BoW's Galactic Scavengers.
Reference:
Tom Lehmann wrote: Both of the decisions as to which of four cards to discard (for AR) and which of four cards to store (for GS) occur at the same time, before action cards for the first round are chosen. In the RvI+ environment, players are entitled to see the other start worlds before making these decisions (just as a player in a TGS environment knows the opponents' start worlds before choosing which card to discard for AR).

Sorry it's a bit late (kept finding too many serious bugs), but I've released the latest version (0.7.0). I'll call it "beta" quality, since there are several known bugs:
* Alien Oort Cloud Refinery is broken in many ways (doesn't score correctly with several 6-devs or some goals, doesn't interact correctly with some Produce powers that draw cards, etc). * Imperium Invasion Fleet may not work correctly during takeovers. Actually, everything about takeovers needs to be thoroughly tested. * Some other rare cases (such as Terraforming Engineers' complex interactions with takeovers). * Some of the AI neural nets for the Brink of War are only partially-trained; the AI performance in big games is way too slow and takes weeks to train. I'll need to fix that both so that players won't have to wait and to improve training speed.
As mentioned earlier, the other big feature in this release is online multiplayer. I've got a server running on my machine here -- there's an option to connect to it under the "Network" menu at the top. Hopefully it's pretty self-explanatory. I'll be sitting in the lobby chat to give out help if needed. I expect the server to crash often during the next few days while bugs get worked out -- I'll do my best to fix it and get it back up ASAP.

Very much appreciated! Impecable timing too! I just finished another race to 50 wins in a 4p game. I did worse this time, getting only 33 wins before the AI got to 50
.
EDIT: I'm so giddy about the new material that I'm picking the new, exp #3 homeworlds + exp #3 cards for my start hand even though they have no business of being together. This oughtta accelerate the finding of any bugs, even if it means I will lose horribly.

Something weird is happening with Galactic Scavengers. It works fine during develop, but during settle; it prompts you to wait for opponents and then dumps all the cards paid back into your hand. Seems to only happen during Settle, not develop.
With Pan-Galactic Hologrid, if explore comes up (at least when chosen by opponent) it says "Choose cards to discard for prestige". But the button is grayed out, so I can't choose none. However, if I select a card the button becomes active and I can de-select that card and then pick done.

I'll call it "beta" quality, since there are several known bugs: Rebel Sneak Attach seems to be trying to let me settle a non-military world after conquering a military one. (I'm fairly certain this a bug and not my misunderstanding of how the card should work.) And if I pick a non-military world to settle, it now wants to let me use Imperium Cloaking Device.
I'll keep posting bugs I find here, if that is helpful.

I've got fixes for both of these, thanks. Galactic Scavengers is probably unusably broken as is, unfortunately. I'll release a fixed version pretty soon.
Rebel Sneak Attack seems to only let me target military worlds. If you have Imperium Cloaking Technology or Imperium Invasion Fleet played, then you should be able to target a non-military world, but be forced to discard ICT or IIF to conquer it.

So this is still the (or most) official place to post bugs? If so, concerning the super search function with the '?' button... When you choose to search for a +1 or +2 military strength development, Contact Specialist is considered a match.

Hm, I guess checking for less than (or equal) to 2 wasn't correct. I have a fix for the next version.

I believe Galactic Power Brokers just forced me to consume my prestige for 3 cards, but the card says "may" which means it should be optional.
Thanks for the awesome program! Can't wait to try it online!

It is optional, but you have to select the "None" option in the drop-down.

Ok, thanks. I didn't see that. I was in too much of a hurry to play, and noticed after the fact that it ate my only prestige.
Thanks again!

Nope. Currently playing a 3 player networked game, and GPB is forcing consumption of prestige, even if you choose "none".

Great job as usual! I'm really looking forward to giving this a go.
Any chance of releasing the server source so we can set up our own servers? It might take some of the load off yours.

Just finished an online game. It works smoothly!
Except that when the game is over, in-game chat is not displayed in the game, but sent to the main lobby. It would be nice to keep them separate (until the game window is closed).
I second the request of releasing a build of the server and some kind of setup instructions (for the database etc). I can find its source code with the rest of the code, but it would be nice to have a finished build as well.

--Federation Capitol gives you a PP when you first Settle it, but it shouldn’t

GAMEPLAY STUFF Additional bug fix requests for Galactic Scavengers... --There's no way to view your scavenged cards --There's no way for other players to see how many cards are scavenged http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/5140927#5140927 http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/5142190#5142190
INTERFACE STUFF --I had a case where I paid 3 for Alien Toy Shop. When I select 3 cards by clicking them one-by-one and each one "popping up", the 3rd card I click immediately goes into which card I wanted to scavenge. I figured I'd have to click on OK to confirm all of that.
--When you start the next round, it'll state something like red got 1 VP + 1 card. When you undo, the log only states red got 1 VP instead of also a card. However, in actuality, red still holds on to the card he got due to sole PL mechanic.
--selection method for '?' inconsistent * +1/+2 military II switches between "card up" and yellow selection rectangle * When yellow selection rectangle, the yellow selection rectangle = decline/do NOT take It can be confusing, but if it isn't consistent, you'd need to remember.... UP = reject yellow hilight box = reject
SUGGESTIONS --When you hover the mouse cursor over the '?' should show the search category chart. However, confusions may abound , as the old way may better empphasize to newbies that it was either the super search or OPG prestige bonus that could be used.

I think that on mouseover the prestige button you should receive a summary of bonus you can obtain....

Hi Keldon,
I'm finding that prestige trade doesn't provide the discard consume action. I reproduced it a couple times just to be sure.
-
-
Bug reports:
I'm able to use Interstellar Casus Belli while having 0 prestige. This lowers my prestige to -1, and after clicking done, I end up with 1 prestige (or 2 prestige if I use takeover on Rebel Freedom Fighters).
Using a prestige search on developments providing +1/+2 military, the Alien Peace Institute showed up once.
And thanks for the new update. Much appreciated!
