.....much maligned version with only ONE fan?

I am something of a guy who likes to rework a game, or add components that enhance a game. Check my Battlestar Galactica and Acquire additions to see what I mean.

With this in mind, what does the community think needs to be added - other than 2 planetary systems available from the file section?

What cards, components, or added rules would need to be added, to make the game acceptable, and give the flavor as good as an average good base game?

I don't have the AH product in my hands yet, but will certainly have a better idea when I do. I just want to add the parts of this game that causes many to feel it is just a bland version.

Lets say you had to add 10 aliens to this edition, what would those be and why? Adding Aliens while retaining some of the card art form, isn't going to be hard for me to do at all.

Thanks in advance

When I did my work on an Avalon Hill mod, I just visited the Warp ( http://redamedia.com/warp/) and started to fill in the missing Aliens from previous versions, plus added others that I took a fancy too. My actual playable version was just my "top 50", with the other 50 being set aside just in case.

I don't think you can go wrong by having a look at what Fantasy Flight included in their version (some of their rule changes/clarifications are pretty solid). Use The Warp to fill in any aliens that FF omitted.
