Recently picked up AMDT and have been playing through a solo game before I break it out with a friend. Two questions: How dose the the Anti-Oda faction use the Murakami Pirates? I know they enter with the Mori on the regroup phase, but where do you place them? Do they appear in the Murakami home castle? Can the Pirates fight on land like other Units? What are the extra Murakami soldiers for (I was thinking that you would use them if they move to a land space. I havn't been able to find any refernce to sea combat in the rules, so how exaclty dose it work? Thanks. arrrh

Kyle, I think you could place the Murakami pirates in Nomi (since it has their clan symbol) as long as it isn't Oda-controlled...or any other friendly castle that has a LOC during the Regroup phase.

I don't see any reason why the Murakami pirates can't move on land, they simply get a combat initiative bonus when in a Sea Area. Sea Combat is covered in Section 13.3 on page 20 of the rules.

EDIT: Also, note that Murakami has no Home Castle. The Nomi castle has their mon (clan symbol) on it, but a Home Castle is one where the name is in a white box with a red outline. It's an important distinction for the rules about how a clan falls.
