The United States Library of Congress has selected your Web site for inclusion in its historic collections of Internet materials. The Library's traditional functions, acquiring, cataloging, preserving and serving collection materials of historical importance to the Congress and to the American people to foster education and scholarship, extend to digital materials, including Web sites. We request your permission to collect your web site and add it to the Library's research collections. The following URL has been selected:

www.boardgamegeek.com

The Library of Congress or its agent will engage in the collection of content from your Web site at regular intervals over time and make this collection available to researchers both onsite at Library facilities and though the Library's public Web site http://www.loc.gov/webarchiving/.

Our Web Archives are important because they contribute to the historical record, capturing information that could otherwise be lost. With the growing role of the Web as an influential medium, records of historic events could be considered incomplete without materials that were "born digital" and never printed on paper. For more information about these Web Archive collections, please visit our Web site ( http://www.loc.gov/webarchiving/).

That's amazing! Hopefully the general public will forget the gaming stigma of D&D players hiding their parents' basements.

Roads go ever ever on, Over rock and under tree, By caves where never sun has shone, By streams that never find the sea; Over snow by winter sown, And through the merry flowers of June, Over grass and over stone, And under mountains in the moon.

Roads go ever ever on Under cloud and under star, Yet feet that wandering have gone Turn at last to home afar. Eyes that fire and sword have seen And horror in the halls of stone Look at last on meadows green And trees and hills they long have known.

This will prove to be incredibly useful in 30 or 40 years time when they start work on the biographical big screen epic about yours truly! It will lend the film a real 'period flavour' as well as capturing the clever stuff what I wrote in its original format...

Note: Dear director, please be sure to zoom in on this page so my mum can read the following message-

'Hello mum, I'm famous!'

Yep that was 12 Power Grid maps back to back over two days. Worth doing, but possibly not in such a concentrated burst.

Do you think GW would dare to send the Library of Congress a 'Cease & Desist' notice, if they find any of their IP's being preserved?

Congrats BTW. thumbsup

Congratulations.

It is a shame they didn't do this before the enforced change to geekdo. Then I would have been able to still use the site the way I want.
