Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him. 2 Sam 14:14

1/7, but no idea what the answers were supposed to be. I didn't spend too much time thinking about them, though. I was "impatient" and "anxious" for the expansion rules.

That was fun. I got nothing right, but it was a nice way to lead into the rules.

2/7, amazed me considering I entered junk for anything asking for a typed answer, and I've only played once.

Apprently knowledge is dangerous. We had the two player's with the most recorded plays of Dungeon Lords of BGG agreeing on all 7 questions, and we only got 1 right. I'm really looking forward to knowing what the actual answers are...
(We thought about it and came up with two questions we'd overlooked something on, but still only got 1 of those two right)

I got six out of seven by having my cat walk on the keyboard to depress random keys. I berated the cat for getting one wrong, but to no avail.

Wow, I'm feeling pretty good about getting 3/7 right. I think I got the hitting max evil by round 2 and highest possible number of imps questions right, but I'm not sure what the third one was. (I'm fairly certain it wasn't the lowest possible score question, as that was a WAG.)

Ah ha! Figured 'em all out. Some of those are really, really tricky!

1 out of 7, analyzing them quite carefully. I expected to get all of them right, but, in my defense, I have played the game just once. I just hope that the answers are given and well explained at the end of the contest.

2/7. I wish I knew which two those were!
Edit: Aha! Lots of little mistakes. Like forgetting to add in the three imps you start with.

3/7
I don't have the game so I didn't really bother with most of the non-multiple choice ones.
Edit: got the imp one after a good amount of thinking. The trap damage, healing and negative score ones are going to have to wait till I have access to a copy to see the spells and special events.

I have it, I have it, I have it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to share my euphoria. I have 5/7 correct answers and the expansion already downloaded in my computer

I already know all 7 correct answers
Two last correct answers I have obtained simply by trying. One of them is really impressive (the last one with loosing titles) and I still don't know the precise procedure. The one with healing still confuses me, it seems to me that only posibility to obtain right answer is to use magic items from expansion. All other answers I deducted during my first try.

All answers are counting with only base set of rules. And yes, some of them are really hard

So, regardless of the quiz, does anyone have any thoughts on the two variants for the magic items? I must admit, both look interesting, so it's difficult to decide...

I played both of them several times and I prefer trickier variant - it has more interesting choices for me. But if you would like more direct player interaction, maybe straightforward variant will suit you more.

The standard variant appears simpler and involves more direct interaction between players.
The tricky variant has slightly more intrigue with regards to how items are assigned to adventurers, and consequently this means manipulating the Evilometer just became more important. Trying to avoid triggering your opponents' items during the battle phases raises the bar of the puzzle element.
As a gamer I'm more intrigued by the tricky variant, but the simplicity of the standard variant appeases the part of me that likes easy to explain rules.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed after reading the rules. The variants themselves sound fun, don't get me wrong. The problem is that while I have played the game a bunch of times at this point, very few other people in my gaming circle are as experienced with it (since I'm the sole provider of the game currently); this means we haven't even graduated anybody to the full game yet, since new people tend to find even the base game pretty punishing. I was hoping that the items might be more a challenge-reduction sort of thing, or at least have that ability, so that I could introduce them with new people, but instead they make the game even more brutal. Again, this would be fantastic if I had a regular Dungeon Lords group that had all played a bunch of times, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.
Oh well, at least I can stop wondering what they're for.

I think the fact that they had a quiz leading up to the PDF was pretty cool. The quiz itself was pretty lame though.
