Hey all,

A very dear mentor of mine let slip that he used to play 40k. He reminisced about something he called "A ripper gun or something" that apparently shot saw blades. I have no idea what race this would be from, but I presume the Core races from soon after Rogue trader (SM, CSM, Orks and Eldar). He also mentioned how much work it was to paint SM, leading me to suspect its an old SM unit. Anyone have any ideas on what this is, and where I can get one (as a present once I paint it up)?

That's the only ripper gun I know of in the 40K universe. It's wielded by Imperial Guard Ogryns.

If it's close, it could be a Shredder, or who knows what.

Eldar use Shuriken guns, which shoot little round bladed disks. Sorta like saw blades or ninja stars.

That's a good point, I had forgotten what Eldar Guns really fire. I always just though "Eldar Bullets" in my mind.

The ripper gun was used by the IG Ogryns.
