D-Day Troopers,

To help the poor souls who suffer on the regular Battle Maps, I've just uploaded "Battle Map #0: Exercise Tiger".

Exercise Tiger was the name given to the training exercises for the D-Day landings, which took place on the English coast at the end of April, 1944. Hence, Battle Map #0 is an easier map, with powerful Specialists, designed to prepare the players for the hardships of Bloody Omaha (and the other D-Day beaches).

Also, I've uploaded a long-delayed FAQ for the game and a Strategy Guide, all available in the files section. Hopefully, new players will find answers to their questions in those documents, and maybe pick up a tip or two about the game.

The next regular Battle Map, Sword Beach, will come out in September.

Until then, enjoy the beach and be careful of nazis bearing gifts...

Awesome! Was this a surprise map? I don't remember any announcement about it, but I could have missed it if there was one.

I think an into map and strategy guide are a great idea. It would be really good for walking new players through the game, getting them hooked, and then watching a real map punch them directly in the mouth.

Really nice. I will use this map tomorrow to play a test game with the official multiplayer rules to explain the game. Afterwards we will test the unofficial multiplayer rules on the other 4 maps. Thank you to deliver the map right in time.

Hey Nick,

Exercise Tiger is, more or less, an easier version of Omaha (so players won't feel too disoriented when they move on to the first Battle Map). It was a spur of the moment thing. I had wanted to do a tutorial for the longest time, and when your image when on the front page, it generated a lot of traffic on the game's page. Seeing all these new visitors gave me the kick in the butt I needed.

Also, the game was submitted to various game design contests, so I wanted to make sure it was understood properly
