Hey Guys,

I've recently come across a copy of Hammer's Slammers by Mayfair games.

The modular board for the game can be laid out in a number of ways. Many of the map features... roads, rivers, water, town hexes, etc., are very similar to their Ogre/GEV counterparts. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to know that these details were influenced by the wildly popular Ogre.

Here's a picture for reference...

I haven't measured the hexes, but they seem to be the same size as the classic maps we're used to.

So, has anyone played on this map? Or would anyone like to... curious to know.

I picked this up years ago for this exact reason. I've also picked up Blitzkrieg, The Battle of the Bulge and Afrika Korps just for their maps. There will always be a need for some adjustment because of terrain affects, but nothing that should be unworkable. Now I just need to find regular opponents.

Ah, the Avalon Hill classics. I'm sure those make pretty good maps, too.

I bought the some BattleTech maps to use with miniatures, and it would certainly work with Ogre. Note that there are some map expansions available, such as:

Classic Battletech Map Compilation 1
Classic Battletech Map Compilation 2

The Battletech maps have the "deluxe" size hexes, right?
