We are looking for a publisher.
The game is pretty far in the design process. The mechanics are all there, and at the moment we are mostly balancing the different species. We've lately polished away a few unnecessary edges, and in my opinion the game is feeling very good right now. It's very theme-heavy, but still plays quick and the mechanics are tightly interwoven with the theme.

And do you want a publisher, or something like that, or maybe de you prefer the PnP option?

Yes, we'd really like to have a publisher. There are relatively many components in the game, including starships of various size, so print and play is probably not the best option. (Even though it would be awesome to see eg. Chris Holm build a copy of Eclipse.)

Does Lautapelit.fi produce original games or do they only translate and oversee Scandinavian printings of other games?
...and rules. When do we get to see rules?

Yeah, Lautapelit.fi mainly publishes licensed (translated) titles although contradicting myself they just did their first original publication, see: Hornet. Anyway, I know Toni and Markus (the guys behind Lautapelit.fi) quite well, but frankly I doubt they would be interested in such a complex and space themed game... well who knows, maybe we should ask anyway?

In any case, we know it is not going to be easy to find a publisher for this kind of game - there really aren't that many publishers willing to do a heavy game with space theme and expensive components. Nevertheless, I'm quite hopeful that we will find a brave enough publisher for this game eventually. If not, I fear we just might to publish it ourselves despite it being such an expensive and big project... (yes, we are that enthusiastic about the game!)
About the rules. I'm afraid that we won't be releasing the rule set to public, at least at this point. I think that the core mechanics are quite innovative so I want to be a bit protective about them, sorry about that But I would describe the game as a crossover between American style game play and Euro mechanics.

It's logical. After all I'm working also in a space empires game... and I have also some new ideas in order to manage resources, travel between stars (I think that we will use a system quite similar, according to the photos) and Empire management (with the idea of huge spendings for huge empires).
I hope you would find a publisher. It seems a very nice game!!!

We played last night and I think it is worthy of a publication. I love the feel of the game. The tech system worked great. I only had issues with the combat dice on occasion (would like it resolved quicker) and the colony drop ship seemed unnecessary or tacked on.

Hope they make an English version that I can import. Or that someone makes and English copy that I can buy somewhere over here.

Based on what I have heard, I'm quite optimistic that it at least will get distributed widely. But will there be a official German version of it? I don't know that yet. Anyway, the game is totally playable in any language, if you can get past the rule book (which will be in English). Unless, of course, if you necessarily need to know what is Positron Computer, Tachyon Drive, etc in German...
