I've seen this game around but there is nothing on the website. When will this game be availble?

The game is available for Pre-order from the Mayfair website as well as other online board game stores. It's all finished and it's just a matter of shipping and distribution times as far as getting it to shelf stores and gamers' homes at this point.

The Academy Games website is getting a makeover, and I believe it should all be updated soon and will then have more Price of Honour details.

Any chance we could find out if Mayfair allows preorders to be picked up at SPIEL in Essen? Uwe was going to find out if Mayfair was carrying his games at SPIEL, but I'm sure he's busy and forgot about it.

To hold you over until the game ships I'll be making an "unboxing" video of an advance copy that's to be used in the tutorial videos which we will begin work on very soon.

I'll try to give an adequate description of how it smells as well.

We all love that new game smell!

I love the clever title of your website GettingBoard.com. Since you made a video of Spearpoint I wish to request that you do one on either The Hell of Stalingrad or The Fires of Midway. I've been very curious how these play and compare to Spearpoint. I'm learning toward getting Stalingrad and Midway because they seem better. Perhaps you could inform me if that is true or not.

Good luck with your site. I hope it grows because it always nice to have more video review sites out there.

Thanks for compliment on the name.

I haven't played HoS or FoM yet. I took a look at HoS and looks good but you sure do need a lot of table space! Not a bad thing, I was just surprised how much space was needed for what is ultimately a card based game.

I'll take a look at FoM, compare it with HoS, see which one I think I would like better (I can't motivate myself to make a video for a game I don't like or rate highly) and see if I can get a review copy from the publisher.

In regards to Spearpoint, one of the things I like so much about it is that it's not "fiddly." By that I mean there's not a lot of markers to keep track of during the game and it doesn't take up an excessive amount of space to play. Spearpoint recently had some nice additions to its game-play, all of which are free. Solo missions (which are really neat and creative) and an option to play using a grid-based board/map. The original game was quite enjoyable, but this new, free content really takes it up a notch or two.

I'll let you know as soon as I receive a copy of either game and begin work on a video once I've sufficiently learned how to play it.

Thanks again

Cool. My guess would be that Midway would be the better of the two since it's the second game in this line and improvements have been made. So I hear anyway.

Anyway the highjack is over.

I preordered from Boards and Bits for $32.50 in case anyone is looking for a really good price.
