I love the clever title of your website GettingBoard.com. Since you made a video of Spearpoint I wish to request that you do one on either The Hell of Stalingrad or The Fires of Midway. I've been very curious how these play and compare to Spearpoint. I'm learning toward getting Stalingrad and Midway because they seem better. Perhaps you could inform me if that is true or not.
Good luck with your site. I hope it grows because it always nice to have more video review sites out there.
Thanks for compliment on the name.
I haven't played HoS or FoM yet. I took a look at HoS and looks good but you sure do need a lot of table space! Not a bad thing, I was just surprised how much space was needed for what is ultimately a card based game.
I'll take a look at FoM, compare it with HoS, see which one I think I would like better (I can't motivate myself to make a video for a game I don't like or rate highly) and see if I can get a review copy from the publisher.
In regards to Spearpoint, one of the things I like so much about it is that it's not "fiddly." By that I mean there's not a lot of markers to keep track of during the game and it doesn't take up an excessive amount of space to play. Spearpoint recently had some nice additions to its game-play, all of which are free. Solo missions (which are really neat and creative) and an option to play using a grid-based board/map. The original game was quite enjoyable, but this new, free content really takes it up a notch or two.
I'll let you know as soon as I receive a copy of either game and begin work on a video once I've sufficiently learned how to play it.
Thanks again
