Hi. I need some clarifications about drawing alibis and the hourglasses on them.
From the rules I understood this process like this:
Inspector draws an alibi, if the character isn't already eliminated, the he turn the character's tile over.
Jack draws an alibi, he adds the number of hourglasses from the alibi to the other hourglasses he has.
But just in case things are more complicated..I have these 4 scenarios:
What happens if...
1.Inspector draws an alibi card and the character isn't eliminated. - He flips over the tile, eliminates that character.(Do the possible hourglasses on this card affect Jack?)
2.Inspector draws an alibi card and the character is eliminated. - Does Jack get any possible hourglasses from this alibi, or just nothing happens?
3.Jack draws an alibi and the character isn't eliminated. - Jack mentally adds the number of hourglasses from this card to his previous acquired ones\/
4.Jack draws an alibi and the character is already eliminated. - Does Jack get the hourglasses from this card?
A detail explanation of the alibi drawing would be appreciated. Thanks for the clarification.

Hello Claudiu
let's try to resume all the situations:
> Inspector draws an alibi card:he reveals this card immediatly. If the character has not been eliminated arlier, he flips over the tile. And Hourglasses never affect Jack, never mind if the character was eliminated earlier or not.
> Jack drws an alibi card: He keeps the card face down in front of him. And he adds mentaly the hourglasses to his total, never mind if the character was eliminated earlier or not.
hoping it's more clear now ;-)

sweet..
thanks Bruno.. I thought it might be like that, but I just wanted everything to be clear.
Also..If at the end of the 8'th turn, there are still 2 or more suspects, but Jack does not have 6 hourglasses, then Jack wins.
is that correct?

hello, i've bought this game few weeks ago and find it really good. however, i've got two questions regarding the rules about hourglasses..
1. scenario: mr. jack has 5 hourglasses already, then he draws an alibi card via action token and this alibi card has 1 hourglass bringing him to the total of 6. question: does mr. jack win immediately after drawing an alibi card with 6th hourglass or does he check the hourglass count only after the end of the turn, meaning that the investigator still has the chance to discover his identity in this turn?
2. scenario: mr. jack has 5 hourglasses already. investigator then determines his true identity, but mr. jack is not seen (investigator can see every suspect left except of mr. jack at the end of the turn) question: does mr. jack still gets the 6th hourglass? in another words, in this case, who is the winner?
thanks

1. The rules say "After an appeal for Witnesses, he has at least six hourglasses". It does not say he wins "immediately after acquiring 6 hourglasses.
2. The inspector wins when "only one suspect remains after an Appeal for Witnesses."
HOWEVER - the rules also say that if both players achieve the objective in the same turn, then you continue to play until the 8th turn. If Jack remains unseen, he wins.
