Played in a 2 player GtR game. No one of the players did not have a accordion.

The statue got me high (Score)
The statue got me high (Score)
The monument of Marble made my opponent cry.

The stone it called to me
But my opponent saw things and built the colloseum
Rubble left unturned
built a quick site with a cheer to be heard.

Though I once preferred a human beings gaming company
They cower before the monolith influnce over me.

The statue got me high (Score)
The statue got me high (Score)
The win of playing Statue (+3VP) helped me come up from behind.

The statue made my opponent fry
The statue made my opponent fry
My opponent was ahead in structures and I was still behind.

The wood it called to me.
I built a fence to keep out the legionare-i-y
The rock it spoke a word
It said to think upon my next turn.

Then the screaming fire red for brick filled the air
My clientel followed his lead and left him fuming in his chair

And what I found was marble in my store, for where the statue got me high(score)
And what I found was marble in my store, for where the statue got me high(score)

All this within one turn
My double marble turn left my opponent to burn
The stone it called to him
But couldn't build what he wanted to

And more screaming as my come back fills the air
The finishing points as I complete statue and he is smoking in his chair

And what they found was I pulled the last site from after where status got me high (Score)
And after no more sites we counted up and the statue got me high (score of 22 to 24)

P.S. Aslo remembering cards he put in vault and my remembering end game and putting the

same material to cancel it out points didn't hurt either. But TMBG didn't have a song for

that.

If that's the song I think you're referring to, shouldn't you lose a syllable from the refrain? Maybe, "The statue got high (score)"?

There is a technical word that all filksters need to know: Scansion. Learn what it is. Learn how to deliver it.

In the song on the refrain if you listen to it the song the word in brackets is normally repeated with the refrain. So on the old J card it would be: The statue got me high (high).

Also in my bitching camaro poetic license. I do donuts on Scansion's lawn, play mailbox baseball to Iambic Pentameters mailbox, and smoke my tires in and flip off the whole measured verse sub-division.

But I did learn a new word "filkster", so I am always greatful when I learn something. It was more just a song I got in my head when I played the card. But thanks for taking the time to read it =P.
