Alrighty!

That was fairly quick!

This game is do be played by:

- Teriyaki Donuts
- UnknownParkerBrother
- Grimwold
- moorwild

player order to be determined. Please subscribe to this thread. Also, you have to decide on whether you want to play the pirate variant or keep to the basic one without the pirate ship.

Haha! I forgot to mention it here! The players please post once to confirm you're in, the order of the posts will also determine your "seats"

After that I'll draw a random captain! And before we start the actual game I'll just let you know how this would be done PFB-wise.

Present.

I've only played the "normal" game, never with the pirate. I know we have one newbie, so perhaps the normal game might be best. But whatever the majority wants is fine with me either way.

*Grimwold* has joined the game.

I haven't played before, but I'd be ok to go with either, if the others would prefer the pirate variant.

TD in. Let's do it without the pirate rules, at least for this first go-around.

Nice to see Andy here! And I don't know if Mr Duff remembers but he taught me Monad a few years back at BGGCon. This should be a fun crowd!

I also woud like to be in, but what will be the PBF-rules? [eg in what time-frame should moves be made?]

I usually play with the pirate, but as it's Grimwolds first game, I don't mind playing without.

Pedro: also important: How are you going to deal the cards at the end of a round. The official Meuterer rules are not clear on that but as a player it is important to know whether at the end of a round:
A. - all cards played that round will be shuffled in the pack and then dealt, OR,
B - only if insufficient cards remain (to deal each player the right number of cards) are those cards shuffled in the stack.

I don't know if I made it clear enough, but I hugely prefer option B, as that makes the game much more tactical.

Ok guys, We're on! This officially starts the 1st Meuterer PBF!! As for the general rules. Since I am myself European, there are two more Europeans and 2 North Americans in the game, I believe it won't be too easy to make this a quick game, so I suggest each player should at least once per day, make a move.

I will start with shuffling and dealing the Island Cards. Then I'll randomly draw a captain and start dealing him out 5 cards, and in a clockwise order, dealing the other players their 5 cards.

After that it should be very easy for you: You just keep on posting once for each card you play.

The Captain: Once the captain player is OUT, he should include information on how many cards he still has got in his hand! So there is no doubt about the targeted island.

The other players: Once the first non-captain player is out, that player chooses any action card of his liking. for the next two players, once out, I will have to send a geekmail with available options before they tell me what they're picking, obviously, the second could send me a geekmail saying something like:

"If still available, I pick the Meuterer, if that is taken I'll take the 1st mate instead"

I think that's quite doable, third player too, but I suppose for that one, it's easier to think about the choice once you know availability, unless you know exactly what you want.

But please: always send me a geekmail on the action card you picked!

As for the shuffling rules posted by moorwild, I totally agree with B, it is more strategically, as pointed out by him, and since PBF takes much longer than a face-to-face game, you do have the time to carefully calculate your next move without people bothering you for dragging out the game. It does provide a greater challenge!

For this game: no Pirates!

Seats have been taken in this order:

- UnknownParkerBrother
- Grimwold
- Teriyaki Donuts
- moorwild

I think that's about all there is to know... If you can think of anything else that might be important, please let me know.

I'll be back soon with the game set-up so we can start round one!!

Good luck to all! And hope you'll have fun!

For my first turn:

- I dont pay the Mate anything, and
- I play a Ruby card.

[Is this the correct way of playing? Or should I have sent this to Pedro?]

The German Island names will be fine for me. The copy of the game I have is non-English anyway. A column of the islands with the "Ship's Island" on top will work well.

This is going to be fun!

This is exactly how you play it! You tell everyone what you're playing, just like face-to-face game.

It's unknownPakerBrother's turn now, he too will post the card he's playing, and so forth... until someone is out, that player will have to send me a geekmail telling me what action card he chose.

Worst case scenario: It'll take you 1 gaming round to get it
