Yes, you read that right. This year's event is going to a 3 day con! Again!

This year's event will be held from Friday, October 21st through Sunday the 23rd.

We'll be downtown again at the Avalon Hotel.

There will be open board gaming as well as scheduled board gaming, a huge Flames of War tournament and other events.

This year, we'll be running the Play it to Win it again. We're going to change it up some this year, though. Last year, we had a lot of great games, and some so-so games. We've put our request out to only get the best of the best games, and we're just givin' 'em away. There will be a small auction Friday night (shhhh, it's a secret) and the main auction Sunday Morning. You will bid on the games you want with your EDoG Bones that you won throughout the weekend by playing all these great games.

I will also be bringing a good chunk of my collection to serve as most of the board game library. PM me or post to this thread any requests so I'm sure to pack that game you're looking for.

It's only $15 for the whole weekend if you prereg, and there are no ticket fees for events or any of that sillyness. The entire event is still only $20 at the door.

I THINK that rooms at the hotel are under $75/night, but don't quote me on that.

Here's the website with the rest of the details. It's much better than prior years.

Friday night is Pirate night, with some free pizza and you've got to see the cool edog pirate logo.

http://www.eriedog.com/index.html

Feel free to post any questions you might have here. If I don't konw the answer I'll get it.

Indie sent both of the above games to us last year, and they saw a lot of play. I think just about everyone that tried them, liked 'em.

I have 'em. The requested list is what has been requested and will be brought. I can't bring the whole collection down, so I'm just noting what will be brought, based on what people have asked for.

Last night we learned loco Motive, and Livingstone. They were both pretty good. Livingstone reminded me of Thebes a bit, but is very different.

Everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I explained Loco Motive, but everyone was laughing by the time we finished it.

These are both fine additions to the Play it to Win it pool.

The hotel is $72 a night, mention Erie Day of Games when booking. Parking is free for guests.

There is aslo a parking garage near the hotel at 10th and state that I'm told is free for the weekend.

What is the advantage of preregistering beside a $5 savings?

The advantage to you is you save $5 (25% off at the door price). I don't know anyone else who gives that big a percentage off for pre-reg.

The advantage to us is that we can plan better if we know what the attendance #'s will be, and therefore can have things running more smoothly for you, so that's another advantage to you.

In addition, everyone that pre-registers will get (I'm going off memory here, so the amount may be different) 5 bones. Those Edog bones can be used in the 'Play it to Win it' Auction on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Sorry that I'm going to have to miss this one. I caught a whopper of a sinus infection. Also, Scott, our mutual friend is expecting a new nephew that very Saturday.

We hope to get our act together and visit you fine Erie denizens at a later date.
