Hello everyone,
First of all, I'm sorry if this doesn't belong in this forum, but since we can't post to the top-level Canada forum I felt that this was the best place to put it.
This thread is a subscription thread to announce upcoming Great Canadian Board Game Blitz (GCBGB) championships. The purpose of this thread is to announce upcoming local championships. So, if you want these updates, look at the top of the post for the 'subscribe' button and click it. Whenever a championship is coming up, we'll post details about it here and you'll be notified!
The GCBGB is a circuit of board game tournaments held at Canadian game conventions and retailers. You play several rounds of games over the span of eight hours, collecting points based on your finishing rank in each game. The finals are held each summer in Toronto at Fan Expo, but individual local championships are run throughout Canada by local coordinators. We have a number of sponsors who have contributed the use of their stores, prizes, and publicity material. Finally, the GCBGB is a non-profit organization created by gamers for gamers; our goal is to spread the love of board games and unite/grow/strengthen the Canadian gaming communities.
