Great news.
The prices on the original AH version have gone from crazy to utterly insane - so I welcome the posibility of buying a copy at a reasonable price.

Awesome! Hopefully the artworks is as good as what's used by PNP Productions. I wonder how Stronghold Games acquired the rights to reprint MoV. Is that discussed in the Dicetower podcast?

But I think we shall learn soon enough

Say one word about a reprint of Up Front, and I'll know this is just a dream.
More importantly, getting the go ahead must have involved contacting Richard Hamblen, who evidently could teach St Simeon Stylites a thing or two about privacy.
Could Magic Realm and Gunslinger be on the horizon?

I'm curious about whether there will be any rule tweaks or other differences in comparison to the original. Can't wait until more info is known.

Man, and I JUST finished making my copy
I wonder what this means for the print-and-play community? For sure Andrew Tulisen won't be allowed to sell his versions any more... I wonder when all that will start taking effect?

I'm glad this game is getting a reprint. I've been interested in this grail game for some time. I wonder if:
1)The art and game play will hold up to today's games standards. I've been disappointed in some of the older games I have played both graphically and mechanically. I think game design has come a long way in the last 10 or so years.
2)How well will this game play with only 2 players. Most of my gaming is with my wife.

I play 2-player with my wife all the time. I think it works great with 2-players.
They say in the announcement that they have made decisions about the art direction -- I really hope Karim Dathkadan is their decision!
Edit: I had a brain fart and forgot for a second that Michael Christopher, a/k/a Dathkadan is the artist that did the pnp version, although I love Karim's work immensely as well so he would be a great second choice...

I'm definitely interested in a reprint/update. Even a straight reprint (modern artwork being the only update) would interest me.

Don't feel bad about Dune since I'd much rather play it in the Dune universe anyway! I spent $300+ making my copy plus months of graphic redesign time. No remorse here!
And who knows, maybe we won't like the new graphic design or they might fiddle with the rules too much. I'm definitely not rushing to sell my original copy on eBay! Such as what happened to DungeonQuest. I'm very, very happy I didn't sell my original.

Apparently, Stronghold Games contacted the game designer. That's one of the things I got from the podcast.
