If the CRT result is ENG (= engaged) where do I put the ENG marker(s) on?

a) The defending unit(s)
b) the attacking unit(s) or
c) both the attacking and the defending units?

Since the ENG result affects both the attacking and the defending unit(s) I presume the correct answer is c but perhaps I'm missing something.

Hi, Jan. Consider it a convenience unit counter for the intent of letting the players know what units are engaged. Usually, placing
one on the defender is adequate; sometimes it is needed on all units invovolved on both sides. Whatever works for you.

Andy, thanks for your answer. I will place the ENG counters whereever I think it's convenient and where it's gonna give me some help.

Maybe you can just span the two engaged units with the engaged counter?
