If your orange juice doesn't burn on the way down, then you need more vodka!

I saw it. I don't think it is based on anything, just something they made up. It did have some things that eluded to being inspired by Catan, such as trading resources.

Games: Regarding my favorite theme of 'Fantasy', I'm hoping for fewer 'card' games and more 'board' games.

Miniature Building Authority posted on Facebook/Twitter that many of the buildings they used in the set up were from their company. Very cool!

They specifically used the phrase "strategy board game", so I'm betting that one of the writers is familiar with the category, either from the trying some games from their local Barnes & Noble, or perhaps even from right here.

I thought at first that the board was from something real, then decided it wasn't, and now am on the fence again. If it was fake, it was a nicely made fake.

Separately, I love the idea of a game called "Virgin Keep," another reference from that episode.

Pretty sure that there were some Catan references in there. I laughed and then I wanted to play it.

Definitely a Catan reference that then devolved into just a blend of all geek jokes possible. Some LotR, a camera pan sort of like the Game of Thrones intro, and so on. It was fun and I liked it.

It sounded like a heavy economic euro to me.

This is my chance to convey something meaningful! Darn. Wasted it.

It appeared to me to be a mish-mash of various game genres. The name and the trading of resources was obviously a shout-out to Catan, while a lot of the gameplay they described was very ameritrashy (direct conflict, dice rolling etc). The board included miniatures-style scenery and one player was wearing a helmet, LARP style. Plus, it appeared to be an economic game, going by Jack's success.

Take a look at the character John Lutz; a writer on TGS. He's played by John Lutz (It's just a coincidence). He also features in a video playing Settlers on a $15,000 touch screen game table seen here:
