The best laid plans of mice and men, often go awry...

Two by the time he leaves. He gets a clue each time he enters another world. Therefore he gets one the turn he goes in, one for walking to the second area. If he gets a card that tells him to go back a space, he can actually get three!

Every time he enters a new Other World area. He doesn't get one for starting the game in Dreamlands (unless you count the one he actually starts with), but gets one when he moves over. If he has an encounter that moves him from one OW to another, he gets one.

He's one investigator that can enter an OW with only three or four clues and have enough to seal when he comes out. He's a pretty weak character with three stamina and a focus of one; but, if you use his special ability correctly, he can be useful for sealing.

His weak point is that Dreamlands has a lot of encounters that either delay an investigator or cause him/her to be Lost in Time and Space.

So if we accurately quote the Investigator sheet:
Luke Robinson's Investigator Sheet wrote:
Unique Ability: Experienced Dreamer - Any Phase: Luke gains 1 Clue token each time he enters an Other World area or is Lost in Time and Space.
(my emphasis)

Now we can see that the Clue is granted on entry to an Area, not merely on entry to an Other World.

Or is Lost in Time and Space? That's another thing I've been doing wrong.

Heh heh you just reminded me of a nightmare Arkham game I once heard about.

The setup: Due to the way gates opened Luck was forced to come out of a gate containing a monster He had no way of killing. Luke had the Wrack spell but Wrack only works after you enter a fight so as a result he was stuck there even when he used it. In an attempt to stay alive Luke had maxed his sneak to get 1 die to roll during a evade attempt. However Luke quickly discovered that with a maxed sneak even when he did succeed the evade check he wasn't going anywhere. Ultimately Luke decided it would be best to be knocked unconscious and take an injury but his tale of woe wasn't over yet. His injury reduced his focus of 1 to 0 (remember how he had his speed/sneak?).

In the End Luke was forced to aimlessly sneak around the Hospital for the rest of his days as the world around him crumbled.
