We want to play the scenario "The Rebellion", I don't understand the rules regarding the Judean reinforcements.

Can someone enlighten me?

The rule seems clear enough to me. Can you be a little more precise as to which part you don't understand?

Yes, of course.

The setup for the scenario has a number of units of which only the leaders start on the map. The rest form a "pool" for Reserve Activation. Note that there are still other troop counters in the countersheet.

SSR 1 says that Judean units are activated before the first turn and then each turn per 18.611 and that also each leader can make a special activation of troops.

1. From which pool of troops do these activations come? Only from those on the setup chart, or also from the rest of the countersheet? Note that the setup chart has only one zealot counter.

2. How many dice are rolled in each case? Note that the conditions for activation are based on the Romans entering the different quarters of the city, but in this case the city is revolting against a garrison, so it must work different.

3. The SSR also says that there are no limits for each quarter. But the force in the setup chart IS limited, so some units must come from another place, no? More considering that any disrupted Judean unit is eliminated (except zealots and leaders).

Only from those on the setup chart.

Also - there are 16 Zealots available for this scenario. From the errata:

"Concerning the General featuring SOJ, The Rebellion scenario...How many zealots are in this scenario? It is not listed.

For the Rebellion Scenario published in General 26-4, a total of 16 Zealots are available at the start."

2. How many dice are rolled in each case? Note that the conditions for activation are based on the Romans entering the different quarters of the city, but in this case the city is revolting against a garrison, so it must work different.

1.Judean Reserve Activation. 5 lines down
There is an additional Special Judean Leader Reserve Activation. 8 lines or so down - "Each Leader takes a DR"

It does work differently and is explained 4 lines or so from the bottom of the section.

3. The SSR also says that there are no limits for each quarter. But the force in the setup chart IS limited, so some units must come from another place, no? More considering that any disrupted Judean unit is eliminated (except zealots and leaders).

The special set up rules refer to rule 18.612 which is about Area Reserve Limits.

The forces on the setup chart area is THE limit to what forces are available for each player in this scenario. These are two seperate things.
