I have done some reading and some folks think that the cars are 1/200 scale.
But I bought some cars that are 1/200 and they are big! They hang over the back of the track boxes.

So what scale are the cars in Formula D?

The cars should have a scale of 1/200 - 1/300. They should have a length of about 2 cm.

I believe they are 1:300 or 1:330. 'Z' scale cars are too big and those are 1:220.

I thought it was 1:220 until I read the former post.
Maybe 1:250 so...

The metal cars sold by Descartes in 90's are 1.8 cm exactly.

Nothing exists; all is a dream. God -- man -- the world -- the sun, the moon, the wilderness of stars -- a dream, all a dream; they have no existence. Nothing exists save empty space -- and you! And you are not you -- you are but a thought.

They are 1:250 scale.

The cars are 17mm long. 1:220 is too big, and 1:300 is to small.

I'm thinking of getting some cars from shapeways.
Anyone else bought cars from here? If so what did you get yours made out of. I'm guessing stainless steel is the material of choice.
