I am developing a new board game and would like to get some feedback from real board game lovers. This survey will only take a minute and I've heard it's actually fun. Thank You

some how the fact that you couldn't even take the time to type an actual word or words for a name and just machine gunned the keyboard, (spammer tactic)and cross posted it in 2 different forums at the same time, makes me not want to help. And I'm all for new developments and creativity in the board game world! sorry. not to mention tupac I ain't.

A Hip Hop game?
Good luck with your venture. Creating a game isn't the easiest thing to do. I for one hate Hip Hop.

Ahh...it's a business school project. The survey is more about marketing than the game itself; interesting, but still slightly disappointing. We do get a description of the game:
"In this new board game designed for get-togethers, players freestyle rap with their friends. The player rolls the die, and then selects a card. Based on the category on the card (ex: situations), the player must freestyle rap along with a CD containing the assigned beat. The goal of the game is to get the most possible points based on the amount of time you freestyle."
Question: What's the die for? Why not just select the card?
Three names for the game are suggested: Freestyler, Improvizzle, and Slam.
It's a very interesting survey, I must say. It gives some insight into the extent to which "serious" gamers and marketers (or at least marketing students) speak utterly different languages...
My strong suspicion is that the "typical BGG reader" would no more buy this game than voluntarily contract rickets, but that's just my impression. Especially if the designer's name is that hard to pronounce--no vowels, goodness!

"Contract Rickets"? I think I played that in college.

Why not just sit around the house and frestyle about any old thing? Flip to a random page in a book or flip the channels to select random topics. The kind of people who sit around and actually freestyle rap aren't going to want to pay to play a game that lets them do what they do anyway. I don't hate hip hop but this game sounds like a really bad idea.

Besides when I am chilling with my homies and we have finished the 40s and are too blunted to drive to Taco Bell because T-Frame (my main man) is on house arrest, this is what we break out to work on our flow:

Seriously, do you think you can compete with that?

There should be a comments section...because basing the winning on how long you can freestyle...is dumb
It should obviously focus on battling not freestyling
Get some hot (i.e. known) beats together and it might not be a complete waste of time
But it's obviously hard not to end up being a cheesy fraudulent piece of crap...
"Hey, hip hop is really hot now, let's make a boardgame about it, the kids will love it!"
Not to mention I'm pretty sure there are freestyling videogames coming out which would render a boardgame version completely obsolete...
So all-in-all...probably shouldn't have made it to the survey stage...

People are overly harsh. Yes, this looks like a college project but it is not such anoffensive post as to require such flaming.
I don't think BoardGameGeek is not at all representative of the audience for this type of game. You are more likely looking at a much younger group. I also agree with what others have said that asking people to just freestyle to a beat and a topic from a card is asking way too much. Maybe giving each player a hand of cards each with a line on and getting them to put them together as a rap and then having the other players vote on which was best or something would work better. There are already hip hop computer games out there like Get On Da Mic. I think this type of game would be easy to sell though especially with some celebrity endorsement. There are popular singing boardgames out there so you could probably research them and see what type of mechanics work well. See: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/mechbrowse.php3?id=38
