What is the learning curve for this game? Is it easier or harder to learn than the Star Trek CCG game? I remember trying to teach my wife how to play that game and did not go so well lol.

How long do you think it may take the first time around?

With the standard scenario I would allot two to three hours for your first play.

The first time around, play to 200 points. This just makes it shorter so you can start another game as you may have realized something you missed.

My first time around was with 3 total players. None of us had played before. It took about an hour or so. I think if you have played other deck building games it should be fairly easy to grasp the concepts.

I've actually never played a DBG before so a little bit of a learning curve for myself. Would you recommend the borg co-op mode as a first try go around?

I would play the competative game first. The Borg scenario is fun but it can be really hard depending how the space deck is shuffled.
