What are the rules in this situation?:

1. I (player A) am holding a nuclear bunker card

2. Player B nukes another player, C

3. I want to do a deal with player C to trade my bunker for cash, so I ask to halt play to write a message

4. Player B says it is too late as he's played the card

5. Player C says it is fair play and that is how the game is intended to be played

What do you think?

Personally I'd allow it.

Thematically I'd cover it by saying that the card was played (The nuke is launched)as the nuke transits to its target there's time for negotiations etc.

Admittedly, how a nuclear bunker is built during this time can't be covered thematically but that's fine by me.

I'd've just not bothered with the secret message and suggested the trade openly.

Also a fair comment Scott, but if they wanted to conseal the amount of cash changing hands there's a good reason to keep it secret
