We had a six player game tonight in which all the ancient personalities were taken without any one player going over 7 VPs (the winning requirement). Five players had 6 ancient personalities, one had 5 ancient personalities and there were no more ancient personalities left. Yep, even all the shipping VPs were taken. There were no VP cards left at all.

How should the winner be determined in this case?

Erm ... ahem .... Here goes: "Come to Shire Games! If you've never been before, now is the perfect time to come along, as we've just moved to a huge new shop in Stoke-on-Trent! Come along, stay a while and play some games! "

It's right at the very end of the rules, before the examples.

In this very rare instance, the game is won by the next nation to destroy a Temple.

Sounds like it was a close game!
