post about holy grail games he ownes and wants. I happened on Wiz-War. Now my first impression was this...no way, thats Dungeon Twister but dungeon twister is like 20 years its younger so I was thinking did DT steal its concept, was just a cowinkydink, or something else intirely? Also, I was surprised to see not one fan pic showing someone playing Wiz on DT boards. just my two cents really. I like what I see, I am a big fan and player of DT. I can't wait for the new release of the Wiz to come out. If any geekers out there can set the record straight for me who have played both, because the descriptions of both seem similar, that would be great.

I've never played Wiz-War, but would like to try the new release.
The genesis of Dungeon Twister is here. I recall reading it was inspired by Wiz-War, but I can't find that article or post. DT author's page here

The games really bear little resemblance to one another. This question seems to get asked every so often, probably because the boards look somewhat similar, but the games really couldn't be much more different.

Dungeon Twister is extremely chess-like... with moves planned out turns in advance for maximum efficiency. Wiz-War is a chaotic romp, with tons of spell cards and blasting and entombing enemies behind walls of stone.

Other than the setting, the two games are entirely dissimilar.

I should restate the matter then. Since being given a bit of flak from fanboys out there goo I should say that I think it LOOKS like wiz-war and has a bit of element in common taking dudes through a maze to snatch up items. thats all, I am sure they are very distint individual games thank you very much.
