I've been an avid gamer all my life and have amassed a decent collection
over the years....board and card games that is - don't really like the war games and games that require a huge learning curve before you catch on to the mechanics. In the mid-late 1990s, I became interested in the Euros by way of Settlers of Catan and haven't looked back since.
I work in our school district and used to do an afterschool strategic games club with 3rd and 4th graders. They seemed to enjoy it and were trying all kinds of new games. The parents/teachers were constantly coming in and inquiring about these games they had never seen or heard of before then. It was nice to have that dialogue and interest that they could share with their classes and families.
In my spare time (yeah right), in addition to gaming, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, reading, thrifting, travelling to boardgame conventions especially Unity Games and WBC, as well as listening to classic/80s music. I also love chocolate but that gets in the way of doing Yoga and Zumba...have to keep reminding myself about "moderation".
Thanks for reading, happy gaming, and peace! 10 Most Recently Played Games:
