Located back in my hometown of Baltimore after a few years in the South Jersey/Philly area. I am the Director of Retail Operations at Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie, MD (www.gamesandstuffonline.com
) I also write a retailer oriented blog about the business of RPGs at www.rpgevolution.com
I've been a game geek of varying degrees since the early 80's. I started out with stuff like Dark Tower, Dungeon, and Dungeons and Dragons, mostly borrowed from my older brother's collection. (though I also got some early exposure to some Avalon Hill stuff like Gladiator and Wilderness Survival.)
I became mainly interested in RPGs throughout the 80s and early 90s, but also had a weak spot for early Games Workshop board games (Talisman, Blood Bowl, Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, etc.)
By the early 90's I was beginning to amass a bit of a collection of board games after attending GenCon for a couple years running. For the last few years, I have spent more time and money with board games than with any other aspect of the gaming hobby, although I now also get some RPG time in, and my Warhammer 40K Eldar Ulthwe army has recently been released from cryogenic storage.
