I prefer games that can be played in an hour or less. I've attended about 15 Origins conventions and 3 GenCons, All the BGG Cons, and attend The Dallas Area Boardgames Meetup Group and The Central Collin County Boardgames Meetup Group to teach games to newbie gamers. I occasionally attend The Dallas Gamers - open gaming events at Cafe Brazil in Richardson TX on Tuesday nights and Madness Comics in Plano on Saturday nights to play longer games and meet other gamers in the area.
