Board gaming has become a big part of my life, and I'm very thankful for re-discovering this hobby roughly four years ago. It is a great hobby. Yes, as with any hobby one spends money, However, I try to be reasonable and don't buy games to just own them. I want to play games, and when a new purchase doesn't get the play time, it is disappointing.
I call it 'our' collection because it has become something my wife and I share and enjoy together. She is a lurker here on BGG and I tell her to get an account. She never will, but she enjoys gaming as much as me most times. She has bought and selected a few of our games. It is something we can do together, and I'm thankful for that. We turn off the bloody TV and spend some quality time together. I've began the indoctrination of my daughter with a few simple kids games, and look forward to having my daughter play with us in the future. Planting the seed and watering it constantly will be important.
I'm sure as with most here on BGG, I spend a lot of my time on this website. Reading, responding, and trying to think of a clever GeekList is a constant. BGG is the reason for why I'm in this hobby and it still pushes me to buy more and more games....
Curse you BGG!
Game on! My Top Ten:
