I'm a Euro-gamer. However, I do love a good race game. Recently, I played Circus Maximus. I think I found a new favorite race game. It's not much to look at, but considering that it was made by Avalon Hill, a war-game publisher, that's not much of a surprise. The game play is the thing here. Not only are the players rolling dice and moving their horse-drawn chariots around the track, but they are interacting with the other players as all are role-playing ruthless gladiators. Fantastic!
I like games that have a high-fun factor, like Galaxy Trucker. I do like some of the more cerebral games, but they can be a bit like another four hours at work.
I enjoy beautiful games. I think games should be easy on the eyes and challenging on the mind, not the other way around.
I consider myself fortunate to belong to a local game group that has more than a dozen gamers. I am also fortunate to belong to another group that meets in Goshen, Indiana, the BoardGamers of Michiana
Sometimes business takes me into Texas. When it does, I enjoy gaming with this guy:

and his game group, the South West Area Gamers.
They are a great group to game with.
Should you find yourself in Fort Wayne, look me up. I can usually raise a group to play on any given weeknight.
My Top 10

My Hot 10
are games I played recently.
