I've been playing boardgames since the first year my husband and I were married. Before that we mainly played rpgs. Like many others, we started with Settler's of Catan and then broadened our horizons. BGG is partly responsible for this, but so were a few of our friends who were into boardgames.
I like a lot of different types of games. I am not super-picky, even on the themes. I like fantasy and sci-fi, horror and historical (and probably any mix of those 4) the best.
I am a creative/artsy/craftsy person - I like to knit and crochet, paint, and more. I am attempting to start up a pottery studio. I would like to come up with some board-gamed themed things to make. So if you have any ideas or things you'd be interested in, feel free to send me a message.
Most of the time it is just my husband and I playing games, so things that are 2 player are the best. We do play games with family when we see them, but since we moved a few years ago, we don't see them as often as we used to.
We also have a 3 year-old. It has made playing games more challenging. Recently she's gotten a lot more interested in trying to play with my husband and I. She loves playing with dice (she calls them "ice") We want to try and get some things that we can get her started on.
I don't do so well keeping my game list up to date. My husband does a much better job. The games we own can be found on his profile, http://www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/KakarisMaelstro...
