I'm married and the father of two young kids! I love to play games, listen to music and make/drink beer! I love euros (as you can probably see from my wishlist) and my wife and I try to get games in when we can (so two player games are good). My wife really likes Stone Age and she LOVES Castles of Burgandy (thanks Santa 2012). She also really enjoys Power Grid even though she's terrible at it (going with all of the wind power does not win games) and Ticket to Ride. My daughter is four years old and is all about games even though she doesn't really know how to play most of them. We play Bugs in the Kitchen, Ratatatcat, Click Clack Lumberjack, Cranium Caraboo, and Blokus... and she just started playing Hey! That's My Fish! and Qwirkle (my master plan of gaming with my kids is coming true!). My son is 18 months old right now... so, someday...
As for me, I'm always open to new and interesting games, especially if they have a nice theme and aren't too complicated to teach to others since I'm usually in charge of that too. As you can probably tell from my list, I'm usually not too keen on abstract games and we don't play too many Ameritrash games at my house either. I've slowly realized that games I've recently acquired are going to be really hard to get to the table due to their coplexity (Robinson Crusoe, Mansions of Madness, Eclipse and Fields of Arle). It's a shame, maybe when the kids are older... or out of the house.
