Relatively speaking, I'm something of a newbie to "proper" board games. It was only a year ago that myself and a few mates invested in a different looking game called "The Settlers of Catan", looking for a change from the usual conventional games.
We played the thing five times on our first night and I didn't get home until 5.30am.
Since then I've been hooked, and a year on have built myself a decent collection of games using whatever I can spare from my student loan
As well as my original gaming group (of those who discovered Catan that fateful day) I'm slowly managing to get my mates at university hooked as well. I just couldn't face going a whole term without my fix
