Note: My games are pretty worn from getting carried everywhere, so they're in no condition to trade or ship. I'll pay money for a game I want, but I'm afraid I'm not interested in trading.
wannabe soon-to-be-published published game designer
designer/self-publisher and Euro fan living in the NYC metro area (albeit on the other side of the Hudson).
About me: I used to be very into video games, and I wanted to design them myself. I decided to learn game mechanics through board games. I used to play Illuminati and Car Wars as a kid, so I fell back into gaming through "take-that" games and the New Jersey con scene (Dexcon, Dreamation, and the dearly departed Ubercon and Gazebo of Games).
I started a game group at my house, and played lots of "take that" and American-style games (hence their presence in my reviews and contributions). Eventually I started skewing towards Euros, and that's where my sweet spot is now. In retrospect, it's a miracle I didn't swear off gaming after my first experience with Munchkin.
