A word on rating games. Here on the geek I use the 10 point scale - what choice do I have? But at my game club we use the following system:
Poor - You'd rather not play this game again, and would likly turn down an offer to play it again.
OK - A game you would never request, but one you might play if another asked you to play with them.
Good - You like this game, and might ask for it once in a while.
Excellent - This is on of your favorite games, and you'll likely request it ocassionally.
Personal Endorsement - One of the best games ever invented. You cannot imagine ever tiring of it, and would hardly ever turn down a chance to play.
For me, I translate these ratings into BGG ratings as follows:
Poor = 1-4 OK = 5 Good = 6-7 Excellent = 8-9 Personal Endorsement = 10
Happy gaming,
Kevin
