I spent my entire childhood playing board games and Dungeons and Dragons with my brothers and best friend, but I'd gotten far away from it since high school. A couple of years ago, though, I discovered Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride in that game/calendar store that appears in the mall every Christmas, and suddenly I'm hooked again.
My personal Top 10 is heavy on light/party games -- mainly because I have a ready group of folks who are always willing to play them, and because I have some definite opinions. (Balderdash? Absolutely. Cranium? Please, let's just play root canal instead.) But as I discover some new games with the local gaming group that I've just joined, I expect to be doing some serious revision. I just need some more play time! Power Grid, anyone?
